SINGER/SONGWRITER JOSIE AIELLO TEAMS WITH AWARD-WINNING PRODUCER HAL SACKS TO TAKE LISTENERS FROM THE WILDERNESS EXPERIENCE TO PRAISING HIM WITH RELEASE OF TWO-SONG EP
LOS ANGELES – September 5, 2018 – Josie Aiello and Hal Sacks, who traveled in the same musical circles for years, always knew they had a project in their future. What resulted is a two-song EP featuring the lead single, “That’s Why I Praise Thee – Sunday’s Best”, a new production of the Wayman Tisdale and Tracy Carter instrumental, “Sunday’s Best” featuring Josie’s new lyric, backed with the funk-rock title track, “In The Wilderness”, available September 18 on iTunes and Amazon.
“When Josie and I started looking at songs for this project, I immediately thought of the instrumental track “Sunday’s Best” noted Sacks.“It has a very catchy melody that just needed a positive gospel lyric which Josie provided and a new gospel groove…hence the birth of ‘That’s Why I Praise Thee – Sunday’s Best”
In The Wilderness reflects a time where I desperately needed to hear clearly from God. It’s the place I needed far away from the noise and distractions of everyday life,” Aiello reflected. “It’s the space I needed for God to provide His healing and restoration. It’s where God met me, answered me and healed me. It’s all about coming out of the wilderness and into the glory of God.”
Aiello has received continuous praise for a career blessed by the biggest names in music, including Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, Kenny Loggins, Brenda Russell, Narada Michael Walden and Mervyn Warren, ultimately signing with legendary producer, Quincy Jones’ Qwest/Warner Bros. Records for her major label debut. Together with multiple Grammy, Stellar and Dove Award nominee and winner, Sacks ― through his work with major artistsKirk Whalum, George Duke, Layla Hathaway and Daryl Coley, ― these two music powerhouses deliver solid tracks with serious hit potential on their independent EP release.
“Josie and I officially met several years ago while we were both worshiping and volunteering at church together,” recalled Sacks. “While hanging out, we were blown away by the number of mutual friends we shared in the business, but our paths had never directly crossed. I loved and experienced her passion for worship and suggested we look into putting something together. These two songs are the result of our commitment to move the church to its highest calling as a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural and inter-generational experience.”
